Current Mitsubishi Models

Mitsubishi has been manufacturing automobiles for nearly a century, and currently offers a wide range of vehicles – from large 4x4s to compact superminis.

It is a testament to the quality of the company that Mitsubishi has been successful in both the world of motor racing and in providing a line of popular production cars.

Mitsubishi currently produces these vehicles for sale on the road:

Shogun
The Shogun is a large 4×4 which has now been produced for over 30 years. It is currently in its fourth generation, as it has been since 2006, and is offered as either a 3-door or a 5-door model. Providing a spacious cabin with room for seven passengers, the Shogun makes an excellent family car. Moreover, it performs impressively when taken off-road – unlike many 4×4 rivals.

It is priced between £26,199 and £36,799, with an MPG range of 33 – 36.

ASX
The Mitsubishi ASX is a medium sized crossover 4×4 which was initially marketed from 1991 as the Mitsubishi RVR. Like the Shogun, the ASX travels impressively over challenging terrain, and makes a fine family vehicle down to its roomy interior. A wide range of engines are available to choose from, and the ASX performs more economically than many of its rivals.

The ASX starts from £16,499 and delivers a combined MPG of 55 with its most frugal engine.

Outlander
The Outlander is another large 4×4 offering from Mitsubishi. Similarly to the Shogun, it provides room for seven passengers as well as a huge load area for luggage – once again making it an excellent family car, particularly for those with a larger brood. Currently in its third generation, the Outlander performs smoothly on the road but not so well off it. An excellent level of equipment is provided as standard.

For such a large car the Mitsubishi Outlander performs very economically, delivering around 50mpg. It is priced from £23,699. Deals can be found on Autovillage.co.uk.

Mirage
A small family vehicle, the Mitsubishi Mirage has been on the market in its sixth generation since 2012. Originally produced from 1978 to 2003, the model was replaced by the Colt in the years between. It is produced as a 5-door hatchback and, although looking rather compact from the exterior, offers a fair amount of space inside. Engine performance is decent and the Mirage is exceptionally cheap to run – it is exempt from road tax, and can deliver around 70mpg.

The Mitsubishi Mirage is priced from £8,999 to £12,999.

i-MiEV
The i-MiEV is an all-electric car which comes in the form of a 5-door hatchback. It has been on sale since 2009, and has a distinctive, unique exterior appearance. Running costs for the Mitsubishi i-MiEV are minimal, while it also boasts zero emissions. When fully charged the car has a range of 100 miles. Its top speed is 80mph.

The i-MiEV is priced at £28,939.
